PSA Committee Structure

The PSA is managed by a committee that is elected each year at its Annual General Meeting. Our Main PSA structure consists of three key roles; Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.

Chair

Provides leadership for the Committee, directs the PSA meetings, making sure everyone’s views are heard and everyone is involved in the meeting.  Sets the Agenda for meetings with the Secretary.  Delegates tasks to other members and volunteers and checks they are completed. Liaises with the School.  Is a signatory on the PSA bank account.

Secretary

The Secretary supports the Chair to build effective communication links between the School and the PSA and maintains accurate records.  This includes setting and circulating the Agenda, tracking outstanding items from the last meeting, taking minutes, action points and decisions.  Circulating approved minutes and maintaining PSA records.  Handles written and email communication for the PSA & updates PSA information online.  Is a signatory on the PSA bank account.

Treasurer

The Treasurer ensures accurate financial records are kept and best practice procedures are followed for counting and the safekeeping of money, banking and making payments.  They should keep the Committee updated with regular reports and ensure the end of year reports are completed for the PSA’s AGM and (when applicable) the Charity Commission annual return.
